The pressure swing adsorption (PSA) Nitrogen generator operates on the principles of adsorption and diffusion using Carbon Molecular Sieve (CMS). The CMS has a large surface area containing micro pores that selectively adsorb oxygen molecules while allowing nitrogen molecules to pass through, producing high-purity nitrogen gas.

The system uses two towers filled with CMS to maintain continuous operation. As one tower becomes saturated with oxygen, it is depressurized to regenerate while the other tower continues production. The patented pressure equalization process enhances efficiency and reduces energy consumption.
